Aimee & Jared . . .

Melissa & Brian . . .

Model: James Michael

I recently had the privilege of working with agency-represented Columbus, OH based model James Michael.  This 6-foot, blonde-hair, blue-eyed, California-born, Ohio-raised model and personal trainer is an all-American guy, a former college athlete and a college graduate with degrees in Sports Administration and Business Management.  It became apparent - soon after meeting James - that he's an idea guy.  Within minutes, he shared volumes of ideas for projects he's planning or would like to be part of!  That kind of vision - coupled with his attention to detail, and determination to succeed - is sure to take him far.  I found James to be comfortable in front of the camera, eager to collaborate, and willing to take instruction - a great combination for an aspiring model.  

James is represented by Ohio talent agencies Roof-Goenner (Columbus) and Midwest Models (Canton), and can be booked for projects through either agency.  

Deania & Phillip . . .

. . . were married, Saturday, May 30, at the Eaglesticks Golf Club in Zanesville, OH.  You may remember Deania and Phillip's engagement session last fall in the Short North.  The weather was incredible - perfect temperature, clear skies - and the day began for us on the golf course with the guys that morning.  We followed the groom and his crew around for a while - long enough to witness Phillip's long-drive of the day, over 300 yards!  Then we were off to the salon with Deania and the ladies, for hair and make-up.  Both groups were a lot of fun, and just down-to-earth people who clearly enjoy each other's company.  We've included some of our favorite moments of the day here, not the least of which was Deania smearing wedding cake all over Phillip's face. :)  

Congratulations, Phillip & Deania - we loved getting to know you and your families, and spending all day Saturday with you.  Your wedding ceremony was more than meaningful, and the entire day was a blast.  Thanks for bringing us along!  Enjoy this glimpse into your wedding photos, and remember to click any image you want to see larger.

Kristin & Colin . . .

. . . were married Saturday, May 23, at the Broad Street Presbyterian Church in Columbus, OH, and followed their gorgeous wedding with an intimate reception at the Columbus Museum of Art.  We met Kristin and Colin over a year ago, and really enjoyed getting to know them during their engagement session at the Franklin Park Conservatory.  They're probably just arriving home about now from a fabulous honeymoon in Maui, so welcome back to Columbus you two!  I'm sure it was hard leave such a beautiful place, but we're glad to have you back. :)  Enjoy this sneak peek of your wedding day photos, and remember to click on any image you want to see larger. 

Annie & Kevin . . .

. . . were married Saturday, May 9, at The Whitney in Detroit, MI - a perfect (and new favorite) venue for an intimate wedding like this one.  With family and loved ones nearby, these two committed themselves to each other in a moving ceremony, that even involved special vows between Kevin and Annie's two adorable children.  We had a lot of time with the bride and groom that day, which we thoroughly enjoyed - both because we consider them dear friends and because we had so much time to photograph just the two of them!

Jeff & Jessica . . .

. . . were married Saturday, May 2, at the Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus, OH.  We've really enjoyed getting to know this North Canton, OH couple, and feel privileged to be part of their wedding day story.  Jeff and Jessica were so easy to work with, and the unbelievably gorgeous weather on their wedding day was a perfect compliment to them and their day.  Cameron Mitchell Catering did a fabulous job - as usual - and turned the already-beautiful John F. Wolfe Palm House into the perfect place for Jeff and Jessica's dinner reception.  We've included a few details shots of their work so you can see for yourself!  Special thanks to the Conservatory staff who welcomed us warmly, and the Cameron Mitchell staff for being so helpful.  And of course, thanks to Jeff and Jessica for including us in their wedding day!  Enjoy this sneak peek, Jeff and Jessica, and remember to click on any image you want to see larger!

Kristi & Dustin . . .

. . . were married April 11th, a blustery Easter weekend in central OH.  In spite of the chill though, the skies were blue, the sun was bright, and this couple - along with their family and friends - made it a great day for us!  There are lots of memorable stories from this wedding - the sassy pink dresses for the bridesmaids, the memorial for Dustin's mother, the surprise dip Kristi received when the pastor told Dustin he could kiss the bride.  But one of my favorites was the cake-smear at the reception!  All our couples so far this year have been very "nice" to each other when it comes to cutting the cake and feeding each other.  But Kristi and Dustin had a cake-cutting at the rehearsal dinner and Kristi was uh, not so nice when she fed cake to Dustin.  :) So naturally, Dustin made sure to get revenge on the wedding day!  It was a fun day though, and a great couple to work with.  Thanks again, Kristi and Dustin, for letting us be part of your wedding day!  Enjoy this sneak peek at your wedding photos, and remember to click on any image you want to see larger. 

Aimee & Jared . . .

...will be married on Saturday, June 20 of this year!  This Columbus couple booked their wedding with us in early 2008, and we knew then they were going to be a fun pair to work with.  They're one of those couples who immediately make sense together when you meet them - like they were meant to be.  Shooting with them early this wedding season made me remember why I love my job so much!  We had a great afternoon together and I'm honored to be part of telling their story.  

With all the inclement weather we've had lately, we made plans last week to shoot their engagement session at the Worthington Inn.  Originally built in 1831 as a private residence, the distinct character of the inn is unmatched.  And its beautifully renovated ballroom and four private dining rooms host the cuisine that has made the inn a top-ten Columbus dining experience again and again.  

Thankfully, the weather cleared rather unexpectedly last Wednesday - so we were able to shoot indoors at the inn and outdoors on location in Worthington's quaint downtown shopping district.  Special thanks goes to Vance at the Worthington Inn who allowed us to shoot there, and of course, thanks to Aimee and Jared for a great afternoon full of fun captures!  Here's a sneak peek at their session - remember to click on any image you want to see larger!
